DocFlow is an all-in-one Android document management app built for students and everyday users who are tired of juggling five different apps just to handle their files. Instead of switching between a file manager, text editor, PDF viewer, voice recorder, and document scanner, DocFlow brings everything into one clean, warm-themed experience. The goal is simple — open the app, find your file, do your work, done.
Design
The app is built entirely with Jetpack Compose and follows a design language inspired by Apple Notes and Samsung Notes — rounded toolbars, warm neutral backgrounds, and colour-coded file type badges that make it easy to tell a PDF from a voice note at a glance.
Core Features
The file manager supports real device storage with smart category grouping (Documents, Images, Audio, Books, Archives, APK), pull-to-refresh, and full Android 13+ scoped storage support.
Under the hood, DocFlow uses a Room database with a carefully designed schema that tracks document fingerprints — so if you move a PDF from Downloads to Documents, all your highlights and bookmarks follow it automatically, because the file is identified by its content, not just its path.
Roadmap
Still actively in development, with a PDF annotation viewer, document editor, voice recorder, and camera scanner all on the roadmap. Everything is being built mobile-first, offline-first, and free — no subscriptions, no paywalls.
